In this paper, the sarcandra glabra extract's powder and its solution were mixed with viscose spinning solution respectively. The sarcandra glabra viscose fiber was obtained by wet spinning.First, the solubility of sarcandra glabra extract was tested. Sarcandra glabra extract's powder and its solution were added to viscose spinning solution to make blended solution, and the performances of different blended solution were studied. It's showed that the viscosity of the blended solution was improved by adding the sarcandra glabra extract's power. But addingits solution will reduce the viscosity of the blended solution. In the meantime, with increasing the amount of Sarcandra glabra extract's powder and its solutioin the blend, the viscosity of the blended solution was changed more. In addition, the viscosity of blended solution was decreased with the rise of temperature.Secondly, the blended membrane was prepared and its properties were studied.By blend membrane's surface performance tests, it was found that the surface properties of A series (The additive is sarcandra glabra extract's powder.) blend membrane is roughness, uneven, and also has some granular material. The spinnability of A series blend solution is not good, while the surface properties of B series (The additive is sarcandra glabra extract's solution.) blend membrane is good, neat, smooth. The compatibility of sarcandra glabra extract's solution and viscose spinning solution is very good, B series blend solution comes up to spinning requirements. All blend membrane's strength and breaking elongation are both lower than these of pure viscose membrane. The swelling rate of all blend membrane is higher than that of pure viscose membrane. With increasing the amount of sarcandra glabra extract, the swelling rate and the antibacterial property of the blend membrane are both increased.Then, the sarcandra glabra viscose fiber was obtained by wet spinning, and its basic property was tested. Compare to the property of viscose fiber, the outer profile of the sarcandra glabra viscose fiber's cross section is clear. Sarcandra glabra viscose fiber has obvious jags and deep groove. And its curvature changes greater. Sarcandra glabra viscose fiber has higher crystallinity and friction coefficient. But it has lower degree of orientation and breaking strength and breaking elongation and regain. The properties of the sarcandra glabra viscose fiber can meet the requirement of textile treatment. Finally, the antibacterial property the sarcandra glabra viscose fiber was studied. The staphylococcus aureus and candida albicans was choosed as test strains. It's indicated that the staphylococcus aureus antibacterial ratio is 92.38% and candida albicans antibacterial ratio is 86.00%. The fiber has good antibacterial property, and ecological environmental protection. Therefore, it must have good market prospect.
