With the increasing development of science and technology, the expanding researches on man-machine interaction in the field of costume design have been being done all the time, including Green Ecology, humanistic concern and lifestyle. At the same time, the research on how to make costume design better realize the "people-oriented" theme has also continued. The success of 2010 Shanghai World Expo has led to a new round of worldwide low carbon environmental protection wave in the designing field and stimulated our deep thinking of costume designing on the "people-oriented" perspective. The costume designing research on the "people-oriented" perspective aims to discuss how to provide better service for people and society and create a more harmonious life-style in the future. What's more important, the related research will definitely upgrade as the strategic needs of our national culture survival and development."In the future, people will have higher expectations and aesthetic requirements as for product configuration". The three key concepts of life-style, culture and emotion always decide the developing directions of designing. Since 1990s, the "people-oriented" green costume designing has always been popular, which upgrades as a sustainable designing pattern focusing on high emotion in 21st century. What needs to be mentioned is that all World Expos based on focusing future culture, provide us with a new and high cognition of Clothing visual art besides an architecture visual feast. With innovative Expo culture as the entry point, this thesis starts from new perspective of costume designing and steps forward to analyze typical costume cases on World Expos, especially cases of Japan Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo. Through the analysis, new concept of "people-oriented" costume designing will summarized and explained. Besides, this thesis aims to summarize the components of this new concept objectively under new situations by analyzing diversifying expression forms of "people-oriented" costume designing.The vein and course of Expo culture fully reflect people's higher hope and cognition about future society, which manifest extremely urgencies of low carbon designing in costume field and necessity of "people-oriented" costume designing concept's upgrade. Traditional "people-oriented" researches are usually centered on "human engineering", while new "people-oriented" designing pay more attention to "dynamic integration of people's emotion and environmental protection", which is a green costume designing with focusing the way of people's emotional needs as starting point. After survey and analysis, it is found that taking part in costume designing actively, pursuing emotion and satisfying the needs of heart have become new fashion. For example, green dress designs such as DIY Design, Organic Design and Regenerative Design quietly reflect people's rich enthusiasm of green environmental protection and public responsibility; Slow Design and Super General Design show clearly that users' cognitions are put in significant position.The application and development of all subjects' green design need public or consumers' participation and support. What's more important, the new "people-oriented" costume design shows a conceptual revolution besides Green Ecology's functional design, aesthetic design of our time, emotional care and concern of technology. It emphasizes that designers should have social and ethical value, because they create not only commercial value but also an element suitable for social revolution. Discuss and research on the integration between costume design and external humanistic relationship is helpful to realize further development of costume design's servicing people and vigorous vitality. At the same time, it has theoretical significance and practice value for social development.
