Global warming has become the hot issue.Carbon dioxide is generally thought to one of the important causes of global warming because of the greenhouse effect. How to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and control atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration is the human problems. In this background, Based on the theories of similar approach and supported by the research of cooperation project on prediction and control of long-term stability of CO2underground sequestration between China and United States, this paper of the main content and the conclusions is as follows:The paper summarized the research situation and the basic theory of geological sequestration of Co2in the world, discussed the types, mechanism, sites selection and evaluation model of geological sequestration of Co2.With the software TOUGH2,simulate the3-d numerical simulation scheme of the constant pressure injection for the wells in the type of horizontal and vertical, and the change situation of injection during the50years and until1000years after stop injection Co2.The simulation results is that the horizontal Wells is better than vertical well, and the injection rate and injection quantity is bigger along with the increases of injection pressure, but didn't involve the analysis, for the capacity of formation storage.Co2saturation basic tends to be stable in1000years.Without taking consideration of other chemical and mechanical change, we can think that Co2dissolve in water needs above1000years.Through a two-dimensional model experiment device that had already built, simulated two kinds of circumstances of vertical and horizontal well.Had taken the same scheme of the constant pressure injection,so that comparied with the numerical simulation analysis and simulated the influence of the Co2for cover layer also. The results verify the horizontal well was better than the vertical well indeed, but there were some different for curve of the rate change. The paper had some explanations and analysis. The paper summarized the leak risk, the way of escaping and the risk control approach of Co2. the geological sequestration of Co2will be the the important way to solve the environmental problems if the storage of Co2can be guaranteed for long-term and safe stability. The paper summarizes the outlook at last. From the current situation,we know that the device is relatively simple and is large difference from the actual conditions. In a very long time,we plan and design the3-d device model. This thesis also involves some content of three dimensional device. At present some problems of the3-d device also are being solved, hoping that the near future we can overcome them.
