The inclined plane radial parting mould is the main equipment for tire vulcanizing. Because of cooperating of cone ring sliding plates and segment holders, the mould works well when opening and closing. But along with the increasing number of mould opening-closing, wear will appear between cone ring sliding plates and segment holders and the wear-resisting layer will get down. The result will enlarge clearances between adjacent segments and leads to glue sides. There are many reasons for glue sides generation, such as parts processing precision, assembly accuracy, mutual abrasion between parts and so on. It can avoid the former two reasons by improving the quality of the processing and assembling, but the latter can not avoid. Therefore, it's quite necessary to monitor glue sides generating time caused by wearing and to give right resolution. Based on my own internship experience in the mold production enterprise and finite element analysis software called Deform, this article mainly researched on the following aspects:(1) It analyzed the processing requirements and using performance from structure, motion, assembly standards and pressure-tested requirements, etc; Summarized easily appeared problems when mould used and corresponding solutions. (2) Through simulation by Deform-3D, it analyzed relationships among wear depth and correction coefficient of a and b, c, wear coefficient K, opening-closing times, hardness, materials, Bottom Die movement speed and temperature. The result laid a solid foundation for establishing wear model.(3) Established 3d modeling of inclined plane radial parting mould cone ring and sliding plates and segment holders, and simulated abrasion based on a true condition by Deform-3D and finally determined the wear coefficient K value.(4) According to the uniform design theory, the correction coefficients a, b and c were designed for twelve levels. Combined with the regression analysis theory and simulation of Deform, the correction coefficient values were finally determined.
