With the development of the PET, the amount of the PET is increasing. There will be lots of wastage of resources and do a lot of harm to environment if we don't recycle the waste PET. So, many people have much attention to this big object. Epoxy resin is widely used in the paint industry, the automotive industry, electronics industry in daily life. Reacting with a variety of epoxy curing agents, Epoxy resin will form a kind of insoluble, infusible polymer with a network structure. According to the different industries , the requirements for epoxy curing agents are not the same .Excellent performance of the epoxy curing agent can make the cured product has good stability, high heat resistance and corrosion resistance effect. Conventional epoxy curing agents are generally toxic ,have odor stimulation, largely used and need capital seriously .Therefore, if we can combine the degradation products and the epoxy curing agent, not only the polyester is recycled , but also makes epoxy curing agents used in production practices, so the resources can be effectively used.The topics uses waste polyester fiber as experimental materials, degradate the fiber with ethylene glycol and glycerol in chemical recycling methods. Discussing the best glocoholysis craft of degradating PET by ethylene glycol and glycerol. Test the degradated products with FT-IR, UV, MS, HPLC, DSC and TG. According to the test result, PET is degradated into BHET by ethylene glycol and changed into a substance with a epoxy structure at the end by glycerol. As the product which degraded by glycerol has three functional groups, is better to solidificate resin, so it is used to produce epoxy resin firming agent.Used the degradated production by glycerol and ethanolamine, a new kind of epoxy curing agent is prepared. Study the influence of reaction temperature, materials proportion and how much catalyst density to use. Test the solubility of the curing agent and the pH. Test the synthesis products with FT-IR and TG. In the end, research the best craft.With the new epoxy curing agent curing epoxy E51. Study the best curing conditions. Test the epoxy resin and the coating by FT-IR, DSC and TG. While test the coating strength by pencil scratch, impact test , acid-resistant and alkali-resistant test.
