N-donor ligands have a dominant position in the field of coordination compounds.Most of them have multiple coordination sites and distribution patterns, especially the azole ligand. They can form a novel structure of coordination compounds in the process of self-assembly with metal salts. In this paper, these complexes have been obtained by change of organic ligand and coordination environment. In addition, we have also been investigated the UV spectral and thermal properties of the coordination compounds.During the experiment, we have been studied the synthesis of complexes by four N-heterocyclic ligands, which the ligands L1and L2have been sysnthesised by ourselves.Six novel complexes have been sysnthesised by the flexible N-heterocyclic ligand3-(3-oxyphenyl)-5-(pyrazine-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (referred to as L), N-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-nicotinamide (referred to as L1)and1-tetrazole-4-imi-dazole-benzene (referred to as L3)with suitable metal salts,[Cu(L)2](1),[Co(L)2(H2O)2](2),[Ni(L)2(H2O)2](3),[Co(L1)2(H2O)2](4),[Zn(L1)2(H2O)2](5) and [Co(L2)2(H2O)4](9).The crystal structures have been confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Their structures are similar. There are a variety of intermolecular hydrogen bonds of weak interactions.Complex1exhibits two O-H…N hydrogen bonds.Through these two hydrogen bonds, the complex1forms a3D supramolecular structure in which there is a large cavity. In addition, the guest water molecules are confined in the large cavity. Complex2don't have intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen bonds.Complex3only have intermolecular hydrogen bonds.Through these hydrogen bonds, compounds2and3form2D supramolecular structures.The three complexes4,5and9have different ligand, but the structures are similar. There are a variety of hydrogen bonding in complex4,5and9.Complexes4,5and9form high-dimensional supramolecular structure by these hydrogen bonds and the free moisture is also involved in hydrogen bonding in complex9.By the weak interaction, complex9forms3D supramolecular structure. Six novel complexes have been sysnthesised by different ligands and in different coordination environments, which further explains that the ligands and the coordination environment has some influence on the structure of the complexes.In addition, we also synthetize a N-donor heterocyclic ligand2,5-bis (benzotriazole methylthio)-3,4-thiadiazole (referred to as L2).In the different coordination environments, three novel complexes have been gotten by the ligand L2and ferrocenyl carboxylate with suitable metal salts [Cu2SO4(H2O)2]n(6),[Cu(FcCOO)2(DMF)]2(7),[Cd(FcCOO)(H2O(DMF)2]n (8).Complex6is a three-dimensional supramolecular inorganic salts, which forms by the copper ion with sulfate and water molecules.The complex7is in the binuclear space group P-1and triclinic system. Complex8is a one-dimensional chain structure in the triclinic system, P-1space group.At the same time the-complex8have molecular weak hydrogen bonds by which the complex8forms two-dimensional mesh structure. During the experiment, we found that the ligand2,5-bis(benzotriazole methylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole is easy to crystallize and is difficult to participate in coordination, which further explains that ligand selection is the key to synthetize the novel structures complexes.
