The Research On The Redesign Of The Old Sofa

The sofa has become the essential appliances in people's daily lives to rest and work, its update cycle is gradually shortened. Fabric sofa has a range of complex manufacturing process, because of the materials used much, fabric sofa whole fixed and difficult to scrap. Redesign can reduce waste disposal costs of the sofa, control the waste of resources and pollution of the environment. It is enriching the connotation of the product life cycle, extending product life, achieving labor, energy, value-added of raw materials recycling and reducing waste of resources. At present, all places have the sofa renovation and maintenance services in China. However, most of the sofa renovation and maintenance restored the level of change, the shape of the sofa and comfort improvement is relatively small. This thesis research on the old sofa, take the sofa structure and feasibility of the process as a precondition, combined with sofa relevant theoretical knowledge to explore the change way of redesigned the old sofa。This thesis studies the following three directions:(1) The old sofa redesign concept description and sofa products classification. Research of present different types of sofa structure, material, shape feature.(2) Redesign sofa by changing the surface characteristics. Fabric sofa surface materials mainly used the textile, supplemented by a structure of wood, metal and double as decorative pieces. This paper discuss from sofa fabric material, pattern, color, texture and other diversity, different detailed features and decorative use, re-finishing of the surface of wood materials and the mix of different materials to redesign the old sofa in the unchanged structure to change its visual image.(3) Redesign on the sofa by improving the soft layer material. Sofa has soft layer of material, as well as its structure diversity. Soft layer material can improve the comfort of the sofa by redesigning of it.(4) Redesign sofa by replacing its parts. The modular design and the structural diversity of modern sofa make it morphological changing realistic. The replacement of sofa parts can make the sofa with a new visual effect.In the process of fabric sofa redesign, the replacement of the sofa fabric, soft materials shaping and components to redesign methods can be used alone or mixed, the key includes the framework structure of sofa re-design and consideration of the the redesign style goal, which contribute to the old sofa to create more, better, innovative and inspirational new visual image.
