New Column Chromatography Application And Research Of Diatomite

The most common column chromatography adsorbent is alumina and silica gel. SiO2 is the main chemical compositions of this kind of natural mineral diatomite. Because of the porous structure, SiO2 could be used as a column separating materials of adsorbent. But the natural diatomite original soil contains some impurities such as Al2O3, Fe2O3, K2O and other organic matter, which need to carry on the purification processing because of the low application.This paper studied the purification of diatomite systematically. Pickling process and roasting are the critical process which could made diatomite deep processing and other versatile application. In the past study, the purification of the diatomite generally used the high concentration of acid solution, but this method would produce much acid solution and the environment would be effected. This paper optimize acid pickling systematically, which made the raw diatomite purified in the acid pickling and roasting process.Through the result of raw diatomite of the SEM with different kinds of acid and roasting temperature.the most suitable acidizing fluid is H2SO4,the water bath temperature is 90℃,which could control the concentration of it at 2.5 mol/L with 2 hours of continuous heating and reduce the concentration of H2SO4 in the acidification effectively.The SEM and X-ray analysis resulted that the diatomite retained the crystal morphology of the raw diatomite through the purification method.Because of the column is jamed with diatomite.This paper studied the effect of the column separation of purified. Diatomite with different kinds of adhesive, the result showed the effect of NaSiO3 as adhesive was the most suitable for Column separation of diatomite。After the granulation of purify diatomite, which could effectively improve the dynamic eluting effect of the column, and Adsorption effect of diatomite on natural products was studied by changing the concentration of NaSiO3 with UV spectrophotometer, which got the optimal concentration of NaSiO3,in this condition, diatomite is the most suitable adsorbent for column chromatography material.
