Empirical Study Of The Environmental Policy And Environmentaltechnology Innovation's Influence On Two Types Of Listed Enterprises

Since joining the World Trade Organization,China·s socialist marketeconomy has always maintained a high growth rate, far above the worldaverage. On the day of the global economy shrinking, China is promoting thedevelopment of world economy. At the same time, however, China has beenalso paying a heavy price for the development of economy. three wastesμpollution, the greenhouse effect and other environmental issues are at theincreasing trend.Under the guidance of the sustainable development strategy, ourgovernment has taken a series of measures to strengthen environmentalprotection, such as to intensify environmental policy, to improveenvironmental technological innovation capability and to construct theenvironment-friendly enterprises. In particular, the measure of constructing theenvironment-friendly enterprises made a significant contribution to reducepollution and improve the environment. But at the present stage, China·senvironment-friendly enterprises development is relatively slow, mostcompanies are still not free from the traditional mode and still pose a seriousthreat to the environment. In order to developing environment-friendlyenterprises more effective, it is necessary to study the environmental policyand environmental technology innovation on the performance ofenvironment-friendly enterprises, which it can encourage more companies tojoin the environment-friendly business team and provide appropriate policy recommendations.Firstly, the paper describes in detail the environmental policy,environmental technology innovation and both overview of the impact onbusiness performance. Based on these theories, I take China·senvironment-friendly enterprises and non-environment-friendly enterprises asexample and use the panel data model treating the24listed companies in2002-2009as a cross section to make an empirical analysis on environmentalpolicy, environmental technology innovation·s influence on two types ofenterprises· performance. Lastly, I obtain two types of business performanceand the existence of differences in environmental policy, environmentaltechnology innovation.The results show that in the respect ofenvironment-friendly enterprises, environmental policy and environmentaltechnology innovation have significantly effectiveness on enterpriseperformance. Finally, I summarize the results of the above study and providesome relevant policy and suggestions for China·s construction ofenvironment-friendly enterprises.
