With our country's economic high speed development, coal as the erengyconsumption has increased dramatically. The pollution of SO2whichemissions from China's thermal power plants, ferrous metal smelters andothers is worsening, and threat to our survival of environment. The area ofacid rain already covered nearly40%of China's land, so the emissions of SO2must be effectively controlled. Flue gas desulfurization is widespreadconcerned.Firstly, PAA was obtained by polymerizing AA through free radicalsolution polymerization, then the poly(1,1,3,3-tetramethylguandium acrylate)(PTMGA) was obtained by neutralizing PAA with TMG in aqueous solution.It was studied as wet FGD's desulfurizer for the first time and found thatPTMGA has excellent absorbing and desorbed properties to SO2.Secondly, the PTMGA aqueous solution with different molecule weightand a kind of absorb liquid with industrial applicated (ESA) and worked wellwere studied by evaluating the pH change and absorption efficiency trends when they absorbed SO2. It was found that PTMGA-2was as good as the ESA.PTMGA-2has good properties of absorbing SO2and it can keep highabsorption efficiency for long time.Thirdly, at the same experimental conditions, the desorption properties ofthe four absorb solution were also investigated in the desorption rate, theconcentration change of SO2,when they were desorbed and the desorptionefficiency; the results showed that compared with PTMGA-1and thePTMGA-3, the desorption speed of PTMGA-2was faster, the change of SO2concentration was larger and its' desorption rate was higher. The resultcompared with ESA, desorption efficiency of PTMGA-2was match to ESA's.Fourthly, selective desulfurization properties of the four absorptionsolution in the presence of the higher concentration of CO2were investigated,the results showed that all PTMGA solution have much better selectivity ofSO2. At the same absorption conditions, they can maintain high absorptionefficiency for a longer time. The repeated absorption and desorption propertiesof PTMGA-2for ten times cycle were invariance.Finaly, absorb liquid based on PTMGA-2was also studied in simulatedindustrial process, a simulated experimental apparatus which similar to theindustrial process was established, the cycle of from absorption to desorptioncould be carried out continuously in above apparatus. The absorptionproperties of PTMGA-2solution were evaluated by different concentrations ofSO2and different absorb temperatures, it was found that when the processing temperature was40℃and the concentration of SO2was2%and4%,respectively, The properties of absorb and desorb SO2were also unique.
