Three Roller Puncher Key Technology Research And Development

Cross rolling(piercing) process is an important means of seamless steel tubeproduction.Three roll piercer which is one of skew rolling piercer has a longhistory, but its development is slow and theoretical research is limited.Thispaper introduces the basic theory of three roll piercer,and researches thepiercing process of the three roll piercer in energy theory. In the appropriatesimplified conditions, perforation deformation of piercing is divided into fourparts,velocity field which meet incompressible conditions and speed boundaryconditions is established,the power consumption of each part deformation iscalculated by energy method,and the rolling pressure, rolling torque and axialforce commander which are validated by experimental data are calculated.
