The minor production and inefficient wells are mostly appeared in the majority of thelow permeable oil fields, and the governance potential of conventional measures is small, andit is also hard to manage these wells. The Putaohua reservoirs of Toutai oilfield is a typicalexample, with poor reservoir property, high percentage of minor production and inefficientwells, and short period of low water cut oil production, also, since almost all stripper wellshave been fractured, the effect of secondary fracturing is poor. So it is urgently necessary toseek some stimulation measures which are more effective. Radial horizontal drillingtechnology is a new type of effective completion pattern. If applying this technology forperforation adding treatment in old fields, it will solve the problem of developing theremaining oil and gas. This method has got more and more widely applied in low permeableoilfield, and the effect is rather obvious.This paper has analyzed the application effect of radial horizontal drilling technology inlow permeable oil fields for the increasing production of the minor production and inefficientwells according to the actual development situation of the Putaohua reservoirs in Toutaioilfield. This paper has also analyzed the influence of the seepage field before and after theradial direction drilling, explored the change rule, and studied and analyzed the increasingproduction influence factors of radial direction drilling measures. The numerical simulationtechnology has also been used to explore the influence factors of production capacity asadopting the radial horizontal drilling technology to improve oilfield recovery. Observedsome factors which affect the drilling effect. Such as drilling angle, drilling length, drillingposition, and drilling density and so on. The results of the study show that the effect ofdrilling measures has the same ratio with the change of these factors, which means that thedrilling effect is more obvious and the production increasing scope is larger if the drillingperspective is bigger, the length of the drilling hole is longer, the drilling density is bigger, thephysical property of drilling horizon is better.At the part of scheme optimization mainly selected one production Well Y58-100ingroup Y54-98as the object to proceed numerical simulation optimization research on theradial drilling plan. The results have verified the theoretical results in front, proposing drillingtwo80m long holes and the angle to fault is180°in P141and P142layer of Y58-100well.
