When it comes to equipments condition monitoring, the real-time data analysis and processing and fault diagnosis on the collected data become particularly important in the modern enterprise management and maintenance of equipments. Usually,the online diagnosis system is used in the condition monitoring of major equipments, collect and process the data continuously,analyze the fault types. But the online diagnosis system is usually too big, too expensive, and the design is relatively fixed, so it is difficult for different types of equipments. The off-line fault diagnostic equipment is convenient and flexible, but the function is weak, not able to collect data in real-time analysis. To this end, the OMAP5912-based quasi-online fault diagnosis system was researched and developed, which combines the advantages of online fault diagnosis systems and offline fault diagnosis systems, use the expertise of the dual-core ARM+DSP. The system is convenient, flexible, and powerful on data processing functionThe system is based on the advanced OMAP5912 hardware platform, and it uses open sourced,portable embedded Linux as the operating system, forming a unique,excellent hardware and software architecture. In this paper, the application software modules of the system were researched and developed based on the hardware platform. The paper's main functions include:1. Established the software environment of the system development. According to the characteristics of OMAP5912 chip and system peripherals, established the cross-compiler environment of the system. Changed and transplanted the hardware boot program BootLoader for e system, the embedded Linux system and the file system corresponding with the hardware platform were also changed and transplanted for the system.2. The paper designed the display module of the system, the graphical interface designed by MiniGUI makes the system's high performance, high reliability and stability and stability of a good map display. 3. Designed the system's memory modules. The embedded database SQLite database was applied to this quasi-online fault diagnosis system to store the collected diagnostic signal and the signal processing.4. Researched the dual-core communication based on DSP Gateway, and through the dual-core communication, the different function procedures of the ARM side and DSP side was scheduled to achieve the optimal use of the system resources. Designed the DSP side fault diagnosis procedure of data analysis such as the spectrum, phase spectrum, cepstrum, and so on by using the CCS tool.
