Transportation construction in China has made rapid development with the strengthen investment in infrastructure construction, especially the long tunnel construction and scientific research have made considerable progress and development. But highway tunnel in the process of construction and operations often appear rock collapse, lining cracking, water seepage and other diseases by the formation of weakness or other special effects hydrogeological conditions. The research in this paper in combination with the actual needs of the reinforcement to Taiyuan-Macau Highway Pingdingshan section of the Guofengya tunnel surrounding rock cliff collapse, is primarily on the reinforcement of collapsed surrounding rock during the tunnel operation. The main research work is as follows:(1) The details of spatial location of collapse,scope collapse and subsidence depth can be clearly identified by using a combination of GPS positioning technology,seismic wave imaging and ground penetrating radar technology, which provide a detailed basis for treatment programs to determine the tunnel.(2) It establishes the three-dimensional finite modeling according to the actual situation of the tunnel and then analyzes the key factors of surface grouting and response measures, such as the grouting pressure, grouting steps and so on.(3) The reinforcement program can be designed according to the above research. The surface grouting operations could be guided by the deformation of tunnel lining and changes in crack, which is important for the safety of the tunnel structure.(4) The rock reinforcement effect could be judged by ground-penetrating radar, and the safe operations of the tunnel can be mastered by way of the comprehensive analysis of all monitoring data to determine the overall stability of the tunnel and the density of surrounding circumstances, so it provides the basis for the evaluation of the tunnel structure.
