Bearing is one of the key parts in roatating machinery, which is suubject to be damaged. The state of the bearings influences the performance of the whole machine. Bearings of the hoist head sheave are the most important parts of the mine, and the running state of the bearings directly influences the safety of product and the economic efficiency. It is very importmant to make fault analysis for the bearings of the hoist head sheave.The mainly work of this paper includes introduction of bearing fault diagnosis, analysis of simple bearing fault diagnosis methods and some precise diagnosis methods. Through the experiment of automatic bearing defect detection conducted in the stimulant test-bed and the field experiment carried out in Jining No.2 Coalmine, the method proposed in this paper can be used for not only early fault detection, but also judging the fault type of the bearing. The bearing fault diagnosis system which is built based on DSP utilizing the method presented in this paper is successfully applied to monitor the bearings of hoister in Jining No.2 Coalmine on line.The primary works in this paper are presented as follows:First, the algorithm of simple bearing fault detection method in time domain was cussed in this paper. Then, through the experiment of automatic bearing defect detection conducted in the stimulant test-bed and the field experiment carried out in Jining No.2 Coalmine, the characteristic parameters in the time-domain which has good stability and anti-jamming were applied into simple bearing fault diagnosis.The purification method of bearing fault signals and wavelet packet analysis method were analyzed, and the one combining the purification method and wavelet packet analysis method was applied to bearing fault precise diagnosis. From the result of the simulation of experiment data and testing data, it shows that this method not only can be immune to environmental noise interference but also can accurately determine the type of bearing failure.It reached the purpose of the precise diagnosis for bearing fault. The hard ware ideas and the software ideas of design mine hoist Bearing fault diagnosis system based on DSP were discussed; the method of algorithm implementation on DSP was also developed. The problem of achieving the communication DSP with the PC configuration software and the bearing fault monitoring were discussed. Bedded bearing Fault Diagnosis System of mine hoist based on DSP was successfully built by combining the hardware system and software system.
