Study On The New Concepts And Implementations Of The Landscape Design Of Structure Interchange

We were building extensive expressway network recently in China, such as project of "7918" national expressway net. In addition, along with the fast urbanization of China, many cities start to build many highways. Our country has more than 600 large and small cities, so the road construction scale and the need to build interchange between cities are huge. But in China, seldom did people study the landscape design of the interflow interchange from the view of architecture aesthetics. To study the architecture aesthetics design of structure of interflow interchange, is full of practical and academic significance, whether for the architects or structure engineers.Jinan is the important traffic hub since ancient times, with many large interchanges, to connect big cities from north to south of China. I did lots of field research in Jinan, to intensively study the landscape design of interchange, meanwhile, I studied many books about bridge aesthetic and landscape design.The first chapter of this paper is mainly the introduction of classification and composition of the highway and the city interchange, and the overall knowledge of the interchange. We should pay attention to landscape design of city interchange, due to we invest much in road construction which covers broad areas in China.In the second chapter of this paper, I introduced six basic elements of aesthetics, including unity in diversity, balanced and stability, fine proportion, harmony rhythm, distinctive style, and, simple and neat. Then, it is the detailed analysis of aesthetic characteristics of the interchange and the basic rules of aesthetic perception.In the third chapter, which is the core of this paper, I summed up the way to design the landscape of the structure of interchange. I will generalize it as below, learning from nature, unique, emphasis on virescence, colorful pavement, detail-oriented, and melted into environment. It elaborates the philosophy of the unity and harmony of natural and humanity, and ideas of meticulous design.The fourth chapter indicates the specific application of computer software in landscape design, which is concluded in three parts as below. Firstly, it is to use AutoCAD to build three dimensional modeling. Secondly, it is the render and virtual emulation by 3DS max. Last, is the post-processing by application of Photoshop. At present, we can finish interchange landscape design independently by using of UC-win/Road, that is popular software in designing. The last part is the illustration of design methods and procedures.The last part of this paper, the fifth chapter, intuitively explains the ideas and methods of aesthetics in interchange design in above four chapters, and expresses author's philosophy of landscape design, by two actual engineering examples. I often go to the worksite of reconstruction project for Xiaoqing River in Jinan, and saw bridges over the river banks, which shows that "green" blueprint design change into reality and the application of academic theory and methods in actual engineering projects.
