After the devastating earthquake, correction of seismic code according to the damage characteristics of buildings and structures has important scientific significance and application value. In this paper, with real survey data in Wenchuan earthquake, utlizing large-scale shaking table test, analysis the distribution of seismic soil pressure of gravity retaining wall packing with gravel soil on rock venues, and thus does some reasonable discussion and refinement to seismic codes on the railways, roads.The content and results of this study are as follows:1. Investigate the damage situation in earthquake of retaining walls along Dujiangyan Yingxiu road on the G213 levels.Finishing the damage data of retaining wall in high intensity earthquake mountain area detaily, provide valuable real seismic data for future researchers of this.2. The distribution of seismic earth pressure on gravity retaining wall baseed in socketed appear the form of skewed single peak curve, and the control factor is the peak earthquake acceleration. Anticipating pressure on the retaining wall focus in central, accounting for about 60% to 80%, peaking at 0.4~0.45 times of the height of the wall. For suggestions,national standard need to make the necessary provisions for seismic design of flexible retaining walls.3. Seismic earth pressure distribution gradually deviate from the existing norms that triangle linear distribution and appear nonlinear curved distribution with the peak acceleration increasing; the application point is generally higher than 1/3 height of the wall, and gradually lifted with the rise trend of seismic acceleration.4. Existing national norms about calculation of earth pressure on the retaining wall and security checking works to seismic conditions point meet the basic needs. Aimed at the results of overturning checking in the norms are somewhat dangerous, the paper recommends that the national norms on the point of seismic earth pressure can be increased to 0.35 height of the wall in order to improve the the accuracy of safety calculations about retaining wall overturning.
