Compared with traditional conveyor, air cushion conveyor is characterized by large capacity transporting, low cost, continued transporting, environmental protection, energy-saving, small volume. In many fields of transporting, especially coal transporting, the air cushion conveyor is used widely. Some investigations show that some accidents usually are produced when the air cushion conveyors conduct transportation. Therefore, it is essential to analyze safety of air cushion conveyor.The dissertation views improving safety and reliability of air cushion conveyor as research objective, and conducts research regarding air cushion conveyor.First of all, the dissertation has stated operational principle of air cushion conveyor, and analyzed various failure data from many companies. Failure types consist of belt failure, driving system failure, steel structure failure and air chamber failure. Meanwhile, statistic analysis of system failure is also conducted.Second, the dissertation has analyzed system's failure types and effects, including failure description, analysis of failure reason, analysis of failure type and computing of failure risk level. Failure reasons of system safety come down to operational life span, operation miss, installation improperly according to analysis of failure reasons and effects above.According research is conducted by electing expert groups, of which experts provide fuzzy cognition information. Integrated computing is conducted by applying IFHA operator and IFWA operator, and variable score is computed by score function. Variable score is sorted. At last, some measures and suggestions are proposed.Finally, quantitative analysis of system' basic failures is conducted by applying failure tree analysis method based on system's data and computing reliability of failure tree model is also built. According to markov-process model, reliability of air cushion conveyor is also analyzed by potential restoration model. Reliability of the air cushion conveyor is analyzed by applying series potential restoration mode, and the weak part of system also is tried to reseach.Improving design and method of air cushion conveyor proposed by the dissertation have positive effects to improve safety and reliability of air cushion conveyor. The dissertation has a good applying value for improving stability, safety and production efficiency of production.
