Car safety, evnvironmental protection and energy saving are three key issues which must be resolved by the moden automobile industry in its development process. It is well know that the traffic jam and traffic lights force cars to brake frequently, especially for cars work in city. As a result, a large amount of energy was consumed. Provided that we can recycle those energy by translate it into the thermic energy to help the start and accelerate of cars, the dynamic property can be modified and the fuel consumption was reduced. Also, the automobile exhaust emissions were reduced which is a good message for evnvironmental protection. Furthermore, the life of the car barke system can be enhanced remarkably.Super capacitor-battery hybired energy storage system, parallel connectioned by super capacitor and battery,can utilize the advantages of super capacitor and battery extremely to modefy the dynamic property of the electric cars. Consequently, the mileage and the life of the battery system of electic car was increased.A energy recycle system was founded in this paper based on a special city bus. The pivotal components parameters of the system were determined. Factors which have effect on the brake strength and the efficiency of the energy recycle were analyzied Some design basis can be provided by simulation results of the recycle system and careful investigation of the work condition of city cars in china. MATLAB commercial software was employed to optimize the system parameters in order to match the capacitor model well with the original car. The efficiency and the effect of energy recycle system was discussed followed optimized results.This study shows that the effect of the capacitor recycle system on the energy saving-of city cars, especially for city bus, was obviously. Moreover, we have to bearing in mind that there is no exhaust emissions in the whole process. Therefore, this system is of great significance for environmental protection.
