The water and sediment movement patterns and boundary conditions will be changed after building hub in the natural river. The erosion of released clear water from reservoir will cause downstream river water level cut down, especially sandy riverbed and gravel riverbed. In addition, the riverbed will cut down increase when sand in the river disorderly. The riverbed and water level will cut down at the same time result from the coupled reaction of the erosion of clean downing water and the destruction of disorder exploiting sand to the bed river. This will cause the tail water level of hydropower station lower and the normal operation will be affect.This paper in connection with Fujian Minjiang Shuikou hydropower station tail water level cut down due to the erosion of clean downing water and the destruction of disorder exploiting sand to the bed river. It causes the tail water level can not meet the height demands of suction of the turbine group. It affects the normal operation of the unit and this will be a serious actual engineering problem. It carried out engineering research on tail-water backwater weir of hydropower station.It uses the combination methods of statistics, theoretical analysis and hydraulic model tests to do the research. It analyzes and summarizes the reasons of the decrease of the tail water level of Minjiang Hydropower station, and compares the tail water elevation measures of increase discharge flow, build a anti-regulation dam, build a backwater weir of tail water to comprehensively, proposes the backwater weir as the practical program. Through a multi-program Hydraulic model test get a recommended solution which meets the requirement of tail water and navigation. Through the stability test result of the cofferdam filling construct under water made advice on submarine construction technology and technical construction. It explore a slow platform for the underwater construction, this solved the technical problems of he high-velocity construction underwater.
