In the impact of urbanization and motorized, transportation system is facing unprecedented pressure. The urban transport problems of the urban development has been the main problem for decades, and it has been a general concern in many countries. Countries around the world are working to solve urban traffic problems in various ways and means. In order to alleviate the urban traffic pressure on the development of large capacity in many major cities selected, less polluting rail transport, and rail transportation as the backbone to build a comprehensive integrated transport system.However, although the urban rail transport system with fast, high traffic, high reliability, automation and other features, can effectively ease traffic congestion in urban transportation corridors, but because of its characteristics, resulting in huge expenses of its construction, only applies to the transport backbone , low accessibility, need a variety of modes of transportation converge to form a good system with which to make up for its deficiencies, improve its accessibility. Effective convergence of various modes of transportation is the key to the whole transport system optimization, integration is the development trend of urban passenger transport. The interface between rail transport system should be based on a large volume of rail traffic as the main body to the ground bus, cars, bicycles and other modes of transportation for evacuation of all passenger traffic. In turn, the interface between rail transport and convergence settings will also affect the ease of travel by rail is selected as the travel mode, so system settings link will directly affect the merits of passenger rail transportation sharing ratio, but also will affect rail traffic the future development trends.First of all, the article reviews the relevant research at home and abroad, simply analyzes the characteristics of urban travel mode, and analyzes the convergence characteristics of rail transport, summarizes the general convergence of mode choice factors and the convergence characteristics of various convergence way; Did the survey of Chongqing orbital convergence mode choice, and statistical analysis of data based on the backing to the city posted a variety of unique features, use random utility theory to do the mode choice model between the starting and ending points, including the rail link track mode choice model,. finally, find a more suitable choice for rail travel of mountain city ,and emphatically analyzes path growth factor and path average lengthwise grade two factors..It has a greater impact on the probability of various factors, the establishment of mode split model, At the last, cite the study to the actual results to verify the article study,and put forward the innovative research and inadequacies of the article study.
