With the acceleration of urbanization in China, the concentration of population makes the performance of urban land shortages problem significantly. In the western mountainous cities, the situation is even more prominent, so, there have been a large number of buildings along the slope. But the difference compared with the traditional slope is that building structures under different conditions will have different influence to the slope. Foundation of existing norms assumed ground space for the semi-infinite body which means the stiffness of structural basis of surrounding soil and rock is infinite. But for the construction slope, slippage will produce transverse shear effect to the buiding foundation. Therefore, it becomes important to research the interaction of slope and construction. This paper firstly analyzes the difference between building slope and traditional slope, and then researches the buiding slope failure mechanisms and deformation model by Chain Catastrophe Theory, providing guidance on prevention of such disaster, proposed the failure mode of pile foundation of different type caused by sliding slope. Then the inadequacies of traditional slope stability calculation methods in solving the building slope are analyzied, establishing the finite element method to analyse building slope. By the way, this paper introduces the constitutive relation and calculation process in finite element. Subsequently, this paper calculates the stability of the homogeneous soil slope and rock slope with weak loyer and finds the changes of slope stability under different factors. At the same time, from the angle of the rock slope slippage impact on the pile foundation, this paper comes to the shear variation to pile foundation of different piles depth and reduction coefficient of slope and provides an important basis for similar engineering designs. In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
