The thesis is a study on urban road layout and landuse at the micro level. As the pbject is mode of road-landuse, it puts road width, rode spacing and block scale into one system to research.The methods of description research and direction research have been used in the thesis. In the process of descriptive research, firstly, according to the historical process, the author analyzed and summarized the four patterns of road layout and landuse: traditional feudal model, modern colonial model, planned economy model, market economy model. The author summarize and analyz the characteristics of different pattern. Secondly, from spatial morphological characteristics, the author summary two modes: thin road network-large street block and dense road network-small street block.Through examples and theory, the author summarizes ideal orientation of pattern after comparing and analyzing from now on. Thirdly, the author discussed the causes of patterns, and excavate the deep reason of impact of China's current mode.The core of the thesis is the part of guidance. On the results of describing, the author evaluate and define the pattern of road layout and micro landuse and explore the guiding principles of the road-landuse patterns and specific quantitative values.The author hope that these conclusions can be tested in practice on the basis of the amendment, and have been gradually achieved operational. And the author integrated it into the establishment and operation of urban planning systems in order to play a positive role to urban development in China, which is mind and meaning of the thesis.
