The electro-hydraulic control axis-fixed power shifting transmission is a kind of transmission which has been used widely in engineering machinery. The gears are meshing all the time in the gearbox. This transmission shifts by the hydraulic multiple wet friction slices and it don't need to cut off the power when shifting. Therefore, it is extremely important thing whether the shift clutches'function slices are good enough in entire transmission. So there are good practical significance and economic value to analysis their structure and function of the clutches.This subject roots in a key/major Science-Technology Project of Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province which belongs to the School of Mechanical Engineering, Zhengzhou University and Zhengzhou Zhenggong Science & Technology Co., Ltd. The name of this project is "The development of a new axis-fixed electro-hydraulic power shifting transmission for Loaders". During the process, it has been systematically researched and analyzed to the structure and functions of the shifting clutches which belong to the imported DANA32000 electro-hydraulic control axis-fixed power shifting transmission. Besides that, it have been achieved to the working principles of the transmission on machinery, electric control and hydraulic pressure. On this basis, the shifting clutches have been redesigned according to the technical requirements and design criteria for the gearbox of 8 tons'loader.There are two aspects of content mainly included in this paper:(1) According to the design requirements of 8 tons'loader, the analysis, design and calculation of internal transmission system in the transmission have been achieved, which based on the choice of the power equipment. Then, the designs of the shift clutches have been finished and the 3D models have been built. Meanwhile, some mainly parts'mechanical properties have been analyzed.(2) With the AMESim (Advanced Modeling Environment for performing Simulations of engineering systems) simulation platform, the results which are obtained from the performance parameters through choosing some appropriate parameters for the simulation model. The results show that, the security of the power driven structures are well; the shift clutches which have been designed could run accurately. All the work in this paper can offer some necessary technical assistance.
