The acceleration of urbanization brings a series of urban environment problems, in addition, the city green space is limited, the roof garden, whether is space or break a level volume on the limited space, have certain advantages. Vigorously developing the roof garden can effectively improve the urban green quantity and the urban ecological environment. At present, the ecological effect research is more and more on urban green space, is a few on roof garden, the research materials about roof garden just include the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen, the lowering temperature and increasing humidity, the bactericidal effect, not include the dust-removing and the absorb harmful gases. Based on this, this research have chosen four typical roof gardens after investigation in Chengdu roof garden, then, there are mainly ecological benefit research (the research include the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen, the lowering temperature and increasing humidity, the bactericidal effect, the dust-removing and the absorb sulfur dioxide)about 25 kinds of plants from this chosen roof garden in different seasons one-year. Then we compare ecological benefit in 7 kinds of configuration mode with different plants through LAI ratio among 25 kinds of plants. From this result, we can provide the data support for building roof garden in the future. The main research results are as follows:25 kind of roof garden plant show different law on the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen, the lowering temperature and increasing humidity, the bactericidal effect, the dust-removing and the absorb sulfur dioxide in per season one years. There are three kinds of effects, which are the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen, the transpiration and lowering temperature, the bactericidal effect, are higher in the summer, lower in the winter and medium in the spring and autumn, the dust-removing effect is higher in the winter, lower in the summer and medium in the spring and autumn, the increasing humidity is highest in the autumn, higher in the summer, lower in the spring and the winter, the absorb sulfur dioxide is highest in the autumn, higher in the summer, lower in the spring and lowest in the winter.As every kind of plant, in the arbor, the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen effect is the best with Cinnamomum japonicum, Osmanthus fragrans, Ficus virens Ait on var and Magnolia denudata, the lowering temperature and increasing humidity effect is the best with Magnolia deundata and Cinnamomum japonicum, the dust-removing effect is the best with Cinnamomum japonicum and Bambusa multiplex, the bactericidal effect is the best with Bambusa multiplex, Osmanthus fragrans, Magnolia denudata and Acer palmatum Thunb, the absorb sulfur dioxide effect is the best with Acer palmatum Thunb and Bambusa multiplex. In the bush, the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen effect is the best with Ligustrum quihoui Carr, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Rhododendron simsii, Buxus sinica and Ligustrum X vicaryi, the lowering temperature and increasing humidity effect is the best with Ligustrum quihoui Carr, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Rhododendron simsii, Buxus sinica, Ligustrum X vicaryi and Rosa chinensis, the dust-removing effect is the best with Ligustrum quihoui Carr, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Pittosporum tobira, Buxus sinica and Ligustrum X vicaryi, the bactericidal effect is the best with Rosa chinensis, Buxus sinica and Rhododendron simsii, the absorb sulfur dioxide effect is the best with Ligustrum quihoui Carr, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Serissa japonica, Buxus sinica and Ligustrum X vicaryi. The vine named Mucuna sempervirens is the better on the bactericidal effect, the medium on the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen effect and the dust-removing effect, the lower on the lowering temperature and increasing humidity effect and the absorb sulfur dioxide effect. The herbaceous named Dichondra repens is the better on the bactericidal effect, the medium on the absorb sulfur dioxide effect and the dust-removing effect, the lower on the lowering temperature and increasing humidity effect and the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen effect. The pteridophytes named Nephrolepis auriculata is the medium on the lowering temperature and increasing humidity effect and the fixing carbon and releasing oxygen effect and the dust-removing effect, is lower on the bactericidal effect, is the better on the absorb sulfur dioxide effect.After mixed Evaluation of five Ecological Effect, the best ecological effect is the Cinnamomum japonicum in arbor, the best ecological effect are Ligustrum quihoui Carr, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Rhododendron simsii, Rosa chinensis Buxus sinica and Ligustrum X vicaryi in bush. The pteridophytes named Nephrolepis auriculala is the best ecological effect, The vine named Mucuna sempervirens and the herbaceous named Dichondra repens have ordinary ecological effect.From compare every ecological benefit with 7 kinds of configuration mode with different plants, we can see the configuration mode with the arbor and bush have the best ecological benefit, which is comprised of Prunus cerasifera, Cinnamomum japonicum, Acer palmatum, Gardenia jasminoides, Rhododendron simsii, Ligustrum x vicaryi, Rosa hybrida, Pittosporum tobira, Rosa chinensis, Loropetalum chinense. Then we also can find out the ecological effect of configuration mode have positively correlated with LAI.Through studying on the ecological effect on 7 kinds of configuration mode and 25 kinds of plants, we can find out the configuration mode with the arbor, the bush, the vine and the herbaceous have the best ecological benefit from the four kinds of configuration mode used frequently. Then, we have proposed two kinds way with the better ecological benefit, the one is comprised of Magnolia denudate, Cinnamomum japonicum, Acer palmatum, Osmanthus fragrans, Gardenia jasminoides, Rhododendron simsii, Ligustrum x vicaryi, Rosa chinensis, Pittosporum tobira, Loropetalum chinense, Mucuna sempervirens, Dichondra repens; the anther one is comprised of Cinnamomum japonicum, Prunus cerasifera, Osmanthus fragrans, Chimonanthus praecox, Pittosporum tobira, Buxus sinica, Nandina domestica, Ligustrum x vicaryi, Gardenia jasminoides, Rosa chinensis, Mucuna sempervirens, Dichondra repens.
