As the development of transportation and the increasing motor vehicles, the normal vehicle traveling data recorder can't meet the requirements of the transportation development. The satellite positioning vehicle traveling data recorder with GPS and GPRS has become an important part of modern transportation systems. The all-in-one machine with the function of vehicle traveling data recorder, satellite positioning, network communication not only can record vehicle mileage, speed, driving time, the speed of vehicle before the accidents, but also has the function of satellite positioning and wireless communication. Depend on it the vehicle and the system can communicate with each other at any time. The vehicle can always upload its location, speed and other information to the system, and the system can also transfer reasonable instructions. The all-in-one machine can dramatically improve the capacity of the enterprises'fleet management, and promote the reasonable use of the vehicle resources. Meanwhile, the use of the recorder provides solid foundation for the realization of Intelligent Transportation System.According to the development trend of domestic and foreign recorder and the new requirements proposed with the traffic development, this paper researches and designs the all-in-one machine with the function of vehicle traveling data recorder, satellite positioning and network communication. First of all, according to the three functions requirements of all-in-one machine:recorder function, position function and network communication function, the main design scheme of all-in-one machine was determined.Secondly, hardware circuit design and programming were done based on the three function modules of all-in-one machine. PIC24FJ256JB106 was chosen as the main controller of all-in-one machine, according to its high computing speed and rich interfaces. In the recorder function module, hardware circuit design and programming about the modules of LCD display, thermal printing, IC card, voice, storage, CAN, USB were done, and the research on power supply circuit, buttons circuit and signal acquisition circuit were finished. In the satellite positioning module, the GP3SF1513F1_S module was chosen to for the receiving the GPS signal, the hardware circuit design and programming were done. In order to realize the network communication function, this paper selected SIM900A and designed its periphery circuit and programming.Finally, PCB board of all-in-one machine was finished, and the functional test and inspection of the all-in-one machine were done. Also, monitoring platform and configuration software of PC were studied.
