Research And Development Of The Traction Converter In Urban Rail Transit Vehicles

With the rapid development of the city size and the growing urban population, people are faced with increasingly serious traffic problems. As the urban rail transit system has many advantages, for example, a large passenger flow, high efficiency, less pollution etc, it has gradually become an important component of urban public transport system.Traction converter is the core part of urban rail transit vehicle, so it is very important for the establishment of urban rail transport system, solution of urban problems and development of the national industry to research and produce the independent intellectual property rights of traction converter.First of all, in this paper, comparision with other traction converters, the main characteristics, the principle and seceral power circuits of the traction converter for metro vehicle were analysised. And then several overall layouts and cabling of the traction converter were designed and analysised.Secondly, the IGBT converter module was introduced in this paper. It provided a method of selection for IGBT, Capacitor, Current sensor, Voltage sensor and Power resistor. At the same time, the paper provided assistance for the design and selection of other traction converters.Finally, the power device of traction converter——IGBT was estimated of power loss and accounting of junction temperature. Comparision with other radiators, the heat pipe radiator was designed, simulated and tested. At the same time, several problems which were encountered in the design and experiment of the traction converter were analysised and solved.With the method of a combination of experiment and simulation, the traction converter with simple and uniform was designed. It provides help for the design and development of other converters in the future.
