Along with the rapid development of power industry, power grid becomes more and more huge, the network structure becomes more and more complex, at the same time, the electricity load increases dramatically, the security, economic and high quality operation of power grid attain more and more attention. Automatic Voltage Control (AVC) technology is a smart technology which applied to the large power voltage operation and management of large power grid, and also an important measure to ensure the security, economic and quality of power grid. The application of Automatic Voltage Control (AVC) System can improve the integrated decision-making, scheduling and management of distribution of reactive power-voltage, optimizing the existing reactive power and voltage control resources to enhance the system to meet power quality, safety and economic operation of power grid and other requirements, reducing the workload of running, improve the power grid scheduling automation.First, this paper study the principle and control model of the automatic voltage control (AVC), combining the successful experience and the characteristics of network development automatic voltage control (AVC) model, pointing out that the three-level voltage control model based on the "soft partition" is more suitable to the current rapid development of HeBei South Network. Secondly, we make a systematic exposition about a algorithms of the technology line to achieve a "soft partition"three line voltage control mode, constructed by passive space-based clustering analysis algorithm to partition the grid computing to achieve a global network optimal control of reactive power and voltage. Again, this paper proposes a "AVC and DTS integration"simulation verification theory, combining AVC system and DTS, in the AVC control strategy to achieve a closed-loop simulation system checked by DTS. Finally, based on the theory of "soft partition " three-level voltage control mode, combining the characteristics of HeBei South Network, the voltage control mode is applied to HeBei South Network, and analyzed and summarized the construction And operating results of HeBei South Network Automatic Voltage Control (AVC) system.
