In recent years, the fire and explosion of transformer substation can bring huge economic losses and serious social panic to our country. To prevent the accidents, an important measure to be taken is to effectively monitor the temperature of transformer substation generator. Traditional monitoring methods mainly consist of manual hand-held infrared thermometer and distributed optical fiber temperature measurement system. The former method depends on artificial means by-point detection, in the case of outdoor, error detection and missing detection is inevitable by this method, besides, the staff long-term work in such strong magnetic field and strong electric field can do great harm to staff's health. The latter method is high cost, besides, this method has problems in wiring; high cost of this method makes small and medium sized power plant cannot afford. With the development of power industry in china, especially, with the rising of power load and ageing of power equipment, it is far more difficult for the traditional methods for monitoring power equipment to meet our expected requirements.In this dissertation, real-time temperature monitoring system which doesn't need wires and power for temperature monitoring is designed in transformer substation, it can get real-time and reliable temperature data that is needed, besides, the system can avoid replacement of power, a large amount of wiring and so on. Mainly works were done as follows:Firstly, the thesis studies on ZigBee wireless communication technology and substation system; compares ZigBee wireless communication technology to other major wireless communication technology. And combining with the character of substation, it demonstrates that ZigBee technology can be used in temperature measurement system in substation.Secondly, the thesis builds a wireless sensor network based on ZigBee technology and designs an experimental system of wireless temperature measurement based on the wireless sensor network. The experimental system of wireless temperature measurement is used to monitor substation temperature. Then the thesis develop low-cost and high-performance temperature measurement child nodes based on temperature sensor and CC2430 RFID chips, the CC2430 RFID chips is based on ZigBee technology. It uses the same CC2430 RFID chips to be master node and routing node, in order to achieve the function of data reception and transmission.Finally, on the problem of chip power supply, the thesis takes the method of reaction leakage flux in substation, in order to provide power that child nodes needs, and that method solve the problem which is hard to replace the batteries for wireless module in substation, greatly extend node's lifetime of work. The design makes complete exposition of system framework and makes detailed description of design ideas based on both hardware and software. The design of hardware follows the principles of simple and reasonable; the design of software follows the principles of convenient and fast; the program design of the temperature sensor strictly follows the DS18B20 Timing Protocol. Program serial port debugging is assisted by VC++ programming language and display real-time data that have been collected. The collected data can be used to observe and analysis, and strengthen the intuitive of monitor.
