With the rapid development of China’s economic construction, power distribution technology has been effectively improved. Box-type substation has been more chosen in the way the high-voltage delivered to the factory or to the user by transformer station. But the box-type structure of box-type substation has brought many difficulties to the internal environment and equipment temperature detection. Manual detection has a heavy workload and it is difficult to detect problems as well.High voltage indoor high-voltage electrical installations, circuit breakers, low voltage and other equipment in the box-type substation are working in case of high voltage and high current, if there is no effective testing equipment guaranteeing operation, it will bring disastrous consequences by electrical equipment malfunction. The most important safety hazards of Box-type transformer is generating a lot of heat which causes overheating and burns equipment. Although the box-type substation using the automatic temperature control system that can be taken when the indoor temperature swing ventilation, but under normal circumstances it is to rely on natural ventilation cooling, so it is very important to start Forced ventilation automatically when the temperature is over high in the temperature measurement of transformer equipment. In addition, the temperature detection of breaker contacts in the substation can discover problems timely and effectively.In this paper, I will detect the high-voltage electrical installations and the temperature of circuit breaker contacts inside the box-type substation and environmental parameters of temperature and humidity by the miniature sensor embedded in the box-type substation equipment. The detection system of Box-type substation can effectively detect malfunction and guarantee the safety of equipment and staff.We will be familiar to the principle of Zig Bee technology, and master application status, network characteristics and key technologies of wireless sensor networking which belongs to Zig Bee through researching and inquiring Zig Bee technology professionals. This paper describes the background and significance of the research; and then introduces the overall program design based on Zig Bee box-type substation equipment and the detection system of environmental parameters. The entire design is divided into two parts: Zig Bee hardware modules and software modules; then studies the routing algorithm of Zig Bee network detection system; and finally measures test results and analyzes system performance through experimental testing.
