With the development of modern hydraulic control technology, the hydraulic system gradually want to achieve Hydromechatronics with the help of Microcomputer, and raise higher requirement on the control precision and control of dynamic, ER technology be used to achieve to change apparent viscosity in the Electric field directly and change the flow rate continuous adjustment, etc, ER control valve which follow the application of its principles will be one of modern hydraulic technology research. In this paper, we combine theory, simulation and experimental research method , integrated computational fluid dynamics, numerical analysis and other relevant theoretical knowledge to analysis ER control valve based the research literature analysis which has been proposed and existing research result .and design the structure of parallel plate-type ER valve and concentric cylindrical ER control valve, apply ANSYS software to verify its structural strength and stiffness , use FLUENT software to comparative analysis its flow control in the flow field, utilize experimental to compare the fluid power control performance of two different type ER control valves.This article is based on the experiment of fluid power transmission control based the ER fluid of SS Zhu ,to expand the performance comparative study of two different types of ER control valve. the main research work and innovations as follows:First, based on previous research and analysis, from the perspective of computational fluid dynamic ,take the ER fluid as a Bingham yield stress fluid, analysis the influence factor of the ER control valve static performance; research the dynamic performance of the ER valve ignored the impaction of electrostatic polarization ;Second, based on equal control volume method, the geometry structure of parallel plates and concentric cylindrical control valve were determined ,and verify the structural strength and stiffness of two valves through ANSYS software and provide ER valve engineering applications;Third ,apply FLUENT software to verify the plug flow phenomenon of two-dimensional fluid flow in the ER control valve ,and do the three-dimensional analysis of two ER control valve based formerly study, so the fluid power control performance of two different ER valve in the electric field intensity will be comparative analyzed, the conclusion that the fluid power control valves control performance of concentric cylindrical ER control valve is strongly than that of parallel plate-type is drawn;Fourth, the Bingham parameters characteristics of ER fluid be verified based on improve experimental system, and, power control valves control performance of the two ER fluid be analyzed.by adjusting the excitation field, Further verify the practical application value of concentric cylindrical ER valve is better than that of parallel plate-type.
