With the development of bridge technology, applications of the bridge are becoming more and more light and combination, particularly in the modern city, the beauty and economy of the bridge are included in the main indicators. As a cable stayed bridge system, the cable-stayed bridge not only has a large spanning capacity, but also good mechanical properties and economic indicators, and has become the first choice for long span bridges. When the cable-stayed bridge used as dual-use road and rail bridge,the beam height l increases naturaly, and has considerable substantial bending, torsional capacity and stiffness. At this point, taking full account of the main function of beams and cables in the cable-stayed bridge, using the beams as the main load-bearing body and the cables as the auxiliary bearing body and using the cables to increase the beam intensity can make the bridges which can not meet the actual beam span rely on their own strength meet the design requirements. This can give full play to the carrying capacity of beams and cables, so that the bridge is Partially Cable-Supported Girder Bridge. The tower of Partially Cable-Supported Girder Bridge is lower than conventional, so that it can be more in harmony with the environment in urban and meet the special needs of the environment for bridge from the aesthetics. Therefore, Partially Cable-Supported Girder Bridge is economical and beautiful bridge.Firstly, relying on the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge in Chongqing and on the basis of a large number of research, this paper summarizes the research status and the development process of Partially Cable-Supported Girder Bridge,analyzes its structural features and force characteristics and studies the key design parameters Synthetically by using the finite element method. the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge is dual-use road and rail bridge and the main girder is the steel truss, the stiffness of which is very large. So Partially Cable-Supported Girder Bridge is chose. Secondly, this paper carries out the control calculation of the overall structure of the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge which obtaines that the design of the cable, the main tower and the main beams can meet regulatory requirements. On this basis, the sensitivity of the key design parameters as the auxiliary pier stiffness, girder stiffness, cable stiffness and the tower stiffness are analyzed, and the influence of the change of the second dead load on the structure effect of Partially Cable-Supported Girder Bridge is discussed.
