CBM (coal bed methane) commonly known as gas which mostly methane, CBM is generated and stored in coal and the CBM adsorbed on the surface of the coal particles, When coal mining, the gas is the number one killer of coal mine safety, coal mine gas accident is the greatest threat to safety in coal mines . In the Chinese, CBM reserves of rich depth of 2000m coal bed methane reserves of 36.81 trillion m3. CBM components similar with natural gas, so it can widely used as oil and gas dual fuel vehicle. But as a new source of energy, as instead motor fuel have such following problems: the first is lack of the main component of coal bed methane and CBM as fuel character of Shanxi Province; the second is the lack of the system disquisition alternative fuel for vehicles of CBM performance in the car.This discourse based on results of the Shanxi Communications Department technology projects "Instead of coal bed methane gasoline (diesel) in the field of the application of road traffic research": the full set of analyze of CBM. Using GT-Power simulation software set up a dual-purpose engine oil simulation model. Add in the software library of CBM fuel, according to the special physical and chemical properties of CBM, and then establishment the engine fueled with coal bed methane simulation platform. Using this platform, we can systematic study impact disciplinarian about the burning of different fuels and different compression ratio and air-fuel ratio of engine combustion, power and economy.The research found that the Shanxi'CBM main component is methane, content of 98.98% ~ 99.51% in volume, heavy hydrocarbon content is small, CBM in the motor octane number is about 137, air-fuel ratio theory is about 17.1:1, the Low calorific value is near 47 MJ / kg, heat the mixture per unit volume is 2.6MJ/ m3, 16% lower than gasoline, so it decreased dynamic: in the right engine fuel injection system and improve, Combustion engine fueled with CBM and gasoline when compared with the maximum cylinder pressure is reduced 8.18%, the pressure rise rate is reduce 18.75%, average power is decreases 24.75%, average torque is decreases 24.41%, average fuel consumption increased by 12.86%. But as a fuel, CBM is better than CNG.When the compression ratio increases to 13 and air-fuel ratio increased to 16.5. Engine performance combines the both advantages, namely: compared to not change the parameters and fueled with CBM, the maximum cylinder pressure is rise 45.66%, the maximum cylinder pressure rise rate is increased 53.85%, the maximum temperature of the cylinder is increase 9.82%, average power is increase 19.21%, the average torque is increase 17.37%, average fuel consumption is lower 35.58%. And compared to use gasoline: maximum pressure cylinder is increase 22.74%, the maximum cylinder pressure rise rate is increased 25.00%, the maximum cylinder temperature is decreased 0.34%, the average power is decreased 10.29%, the average torque is decrease 11.28%, average fuel consumption is decrease 27.29%.Gasoline equivalent CBM is 1.31.Generally speaking, increase the compression ratio and air-fuel ratio appropriate can effectively restore the engine performance and reduce fuel consumption. This shows that gas engine research and development has broad application prospects, and important role is that the gas engine is established simulation platform for rapid development of CBM engine.
