Coal-based SOFC/IGCC combined cycle power generation system is the advanced energy power system which has combined the advanced fuel cell technology with the overall style of gasification combined cycle. Now it has entered the operational phase of commercial demonstration. It is one of the world's most effective power generation systems in achieving near-zero coal-fired pollution, and has highly received the attention of countries all over the world.This paper has studied and analyzed coal-based SOFC/IGCC combined cycle power generation system. The second chapter has analysed the coal polygeneration system of the future application of clean coal and the IGCC power generation system, designed the coal-based SOFC/IGCC combined cycle power generation system whose main purpose is to generate electricity, analyzed the generation process of the system, and did the systematic selection of the system's major equipment. The third chapter has studied on how to improve the gasification and purification for the key parts of integral combined cycle (IGCC) coal gasification power system, used ASPEN PLUS software to establish a Texaco gasifier model to analyze the coal slurry concentration, oxygen-coal ratio, the impact of oxygen concentration on the gasifier, and ultimately uses low-temperature methanol wash method to purify the crude gas produced by Texaco gasifier. The fourth chapter has focused on the SOFC part of the coal-based SOFC/IGCC Combined cycle power generation system to use the large-scale multi-physics coupling software COMSOL for the simulation analysis of flat SOFC unit's flow and heat transfer. The fifth chapter has used ASPEN PLUS software to establish a SOFC/IGCC combined cycle power system model. After setting the parameter and calculating, the result can be gotten that the generated output of SOFC/IGCC combined cycle power generation system is higher than a single IGCC power generation system by almost 10 percentage points. Then, it has analyzed the parameters of SOFC/IGCC combined cycle power generation system, such as the operating pressure of SOFC stack, the operating temperature of SOFC, fuel efficiency and gas turbine load factor. The analysis shows that improving the operating pressure of SOFC stack can improve the efficiency of SOFC/IGCC combined cycle power generation system; the most suitable temperature of SOFC is 800℃-1000℃, while the best fuel efficiency of the system is about 85%.
