The test of landing impact is the key to the design of landing gear, the research for aircraft landing dynamics is based on the system of testing for airplane landing gear drop test. Therefore, the development and applicaton of an airplane landing gear drop test system,which for the airplane landing gear, have not only the important theoretical significance, but also a practical value.A detailed design and finite element modeling of the test platform for airplane landing gear is given. A static and dynamic analysis on the test platform based on the finite element method is presented. Several working conditions force of the test platform have been checked in the static analysis. The natural frequencies and model shape are also computed in dynamic analysis.On the basis the designed test platform , a drop test rig is developed for the landing gears of the Seagull 300 airplane according to its drop-test specifications. The overall design scheme including the platform systems, wheel with rotor system, the impact platform subsystem, test fixtures subsystem, data acquisition subsystem is brought out and the check of the landing gear test fixture subsystem is completed. A simulation model of the landing gear of the Seagull 300 airplane is built by using ADAMS/Aircraft. The analysis of the limited drop test and the reserve energy absorption drop test are carried out .According to the requirement of the test mission statement, the drop test of the landing gear of the Seagull 300 airplane are completed on the landing gear drop test rig. The test results show that the system,which is stable and reliable, the landing gears of the Seagull 300 airplan meets the design requirements. The test system can be used for the drop of landing gear.
