The helicopter rotor in icing condition is an important problem to the flight safety. The countries do lots of research on it. When the helicopter comes across the clouds with supercooled water droplet , Icy phenomenon appears at the helicopter airframe and engine inlet, and rotor part. As the icy problem involves solid-liquid two kinds of state, it is a complicated process. The flight test, wind tunnel test, and numerical simulation methods are used by mainly foreign countries. Domestic research through ice wind tunnel experiments are just starting. In this paper, the numerical simulation are used to simulation the icing problem of the rotor blades two-dimensional airfoil shape blade-element momentum theory is used to simulate the aerodynamic characteristics of the rotor blade at icing condition.The paper mainly includes the following aspects: (1) by 2-d unsteady navier-stokes equation calculated the airfoil air flow field, and choose the suitable turbulence model for icy research. (2) built air/water two-phase flow control equation, the calculation of water trickle field, and select the mature, simple ice freezes model calculation icy appearance. (3) calculated the icing of the rotor blades and got the icing airfoil shape. calculated the aerodynamic characteristic of the icy blade (4) establish rotor aerodynamic characteristics of calculation model, analyzes hovering and former fly condition, freezing to analyze the influence of aerodynamic characteristics.
