Ionic Polymer Metal Composite (IPMC) is a new electronic and smart material that shows large deformation, fast response, simple actuator control, low energe consumption and light weight. At present, IPMC may be one of the ideal materials for bionic actuators.First, the paper prepared cation exchange membrane by Nafion liquor casting, and prepared IPMC based Pt electrode (Pt-IPMC) and Ag electrode (Ag-IPMC) with electroless plsting which had good static performance. The experiment analysed the factors which affected the capability of IPMC, and put forward some projects to improve IPMC, and successfully prepared Pt-IPMC and Ag-IPMC which had both good static performance and dynamic performance. The microcosmic feature of electrode and the compoments of surface electrode can be clearly observed by SEM and EDS, and the results illuminated the effect of metal aggradation was all right.The paper emphasized a lot of capabilities of two samples of IPMC manufactured with two kinds of metal. The moisture content of samples was tested in the paper, showed the current of losing water, and testified that the experiment technics increased the moisture content of samples. Next, the experiment tested the resistance of the samples of material, and showed the samples which have light surface resistance and great side-to-side resistance can be actuated better. The paper actuated Pt-IPMC be improved with sine wave, square wave, triangular wave, tooth wave, Pt-IPMCs had steady actuator deformation when samples were actuated by the four waves, and explained sine wave and square wave were better for being actuated singals. Also, the dynamtic performace of Ag-IPMC was teted in the paper, but the deformation was very small because of its resistance. Besides, an experiment platform was set up for the test of static tension of Pt-IPMC and Ag-IPMC, and the paper still tested static and dynamic stress output-force of Pt-IPMC.The membranes adulterated carbon nanotubes were manufactured by liquid casting, and Pt was electroless plating on the membranes. The research tested the samples'tensile characteristics, analysed the dynamic deformation performance. The ending indicated carbon nanotubes enhanced the materials'rigidity and elastic modulus, and ameliorated the actuated performace of the materials.
