These years carbon-fiber composite have developed quickly, and textile composite is widely used in aerospace and aircraft industry because of its superior holistic performance , it is important to study its strength and fatigue life , and the strength and fatigue life prediction of structures with hole is the important basic research.The fatigue performance of 2-D textile composite laminate with hole has been studied through prediction programme and experiment in this paper, which is mainly including the followings:(1) A progressive damage method of predicting the strength and fatigue life of textile composite laminate with hole is established in the paper, which is based on the theory of bidirectional ply. Considering the characteristics of bidirectional fiber-reinforced textile composite laminate, the fatigue failure criteria and the material property degradation rules have been established for the textile composite laminate with hole on basis of those rules of unidirectional fiber-reinforced composite laminate.(2) An experimental program is conducted using two different lay orientations bidirectional laminate with [(0,90)]8 and [(±45)]8 for researching the strength and the fatigue behaviour of the bidirectional ply. The residual strength degradation and the residual stiffness degradation expressions of the 2-D textile composite have been set up through the experiments, and provide useful datas for the fatigue life prediction method established in this paper.(3) The strength and fatigue life of the textile composite laminate with two kinds of hole diameters (5mm and 7mm) and two different lay orientations bidirectional laminate with [(0,90)]12 and [(±45)/(0,90)/(±45)/(0,90)/(±45)]S are tested. The damage progressive process and the laminate fracture are also studied in this paper.(4)A strength and fatigue life prediction programme for textile composite laminate with hole has been developed by using Ansys Parameter Design Language on the ANSYS software. The strength and fatigue life of textile composite laminate with two kinds of hole diameter and lay orientations is predicted using the prediction method, and the feasibility of the established prediction method has been proved through comparing with the experimental datas.
