The bearing performance of the light wood houses depends on the node styles of connection.Wood trusses with metal-plated-connections, making simple, quick installation, are conducive to the progress of the project. The nodes connected with the tooth plate also make wood truss house have a stable of engineering properties .Using the connection has a promotion to the progress of the wood nodes connection in China. At the same time, this connection promotes the light wood construction in China.Chinese design of timber structures (GB50005-2003) for the first time introduced a light wooden structure, tooth plate connection, dimension lumber, and other new concepts, including tooth plate on the design and test the connection points of reference are basically Canada; wood-related specifications that the lack of connectivity of the tooth plate. and no teeth on the boards of domestic research and design indicators.This paper states the shear test about dimension lumber of SPF after the conclusion of the foreign and domestic research on this connection and the research ideas and test methods.The test content and analysis is divided into the following sections:(1),Getting the shear failure mode,the weak parts of the connections,ultimate displacement at failure by the data analysis of the standard 10 nodes;(2),This paper focuses on shear plate connections gear bearing properties with the dental plate and the external load alveolar changes in the angle though the experimental data.(3),Getting the bearing capacity of the distribution of T series and C series and the difference between the shear capacity of the node of T series and C series , though the experimental data.(4),Though the experimental data analysis, this paper will get the size influence about shear bearing capacity of the node(5),Comparison of the difference between the shear capacity between the tooth plate domestic and imports (M-20 and SK-20).Getting the following conclusion though experiment data analysis:(1),The compared to the tooth plate used in domestic and imported (M-20 and SK-20), the shear strength the used in domestic between the two, that is greater than the shear capacity of M-20, less than shear capacity of SK-20.(2),Tooth plate connections both shear– tension and shear - pressure in the other conditions exactly the same circumstances, the tooth plate and tooth plate alveolar direction is vertical relationship between the principal axes, and its design shear capacity value is greater than the alveolar tooth plate axis direction and the direction of the tooth plate is parallel to the relationship between.(3),As for the shear node, the tooth size of the plate will have some impact about performance of shear , the larger the size tooth plate the greater shear strength, but when it reaches a certain value, the tooth board size is essentially no effect on the shear strength.
