China is a country which lacks wood and forest, with lower per capita forest resources.In 1998, China began to adopt the natural forest protection project. And since then, in order to protect forest resources and maintain the balance of timber supply and demand, the government has taken a series of measures to encourage timber imports. The total amount of timber in the country has increased in the form of steps and gradually the light wood frame construction been applied in China. Light wood frame construction has advantages such as simple in construction, low cost in materials and good anti-seismic performance.China " timber structure design specification" light wood frame construction, as well as the content of teeth-plate connections laid the foundation of development for light wood structure housing, however, provisions established through the analysis and complied with China's national conditions are adapted to the domestic market demand. Light wooden roof truss structure uses metal plate connectors, connecting nodes of force on the overall force structure, which plays a vital role, and thus research and analysis on tooth plate connected wood trusses has an important significance.In this paper, the main forms of timber structure, structural system of beams and light wood frame construction and system are described, and then the types of light wood trusses and structure are introduced, and its main connection type-truss-plate connections is put in the first place to introduce, the modern timber structure common tooth connection, bolts and nails to connect to connect are also briefly expounded.
