Seismic Performance Analysis On Concrete Block Composite Wall Based On ANSYS

Concrete block composite wall is a composite of concrete block inner,exterior wall with the other non-load-bearing material (such as polystyrene foam board) compound from which the bearing wall, and then on the basis of an efficient thermal insulation properties of composite materials, two materials combined. ANSYS built concrete block composite wall model and analyzed finite element seismic performance of composite wall, researched the ratio of height to wide and the grouted concrete strength grade of concrete block on seismic performance of composite wall and failure characteristics,period,mode,ductility,deformation capacity and hysteretic behavior of composite wall, and tested the forcing characteristics of exterior wall,bearing characteristics of inner wall and the role of joint coordination of the inner and exterior wall, to strengthen wall anti-collapse and anti-buckling capacity, for providing the load-bearing, insulation, decoration of"the triple"of the concrete block composite wall with scientific basis.Mode analysis may obtain that first six mode forms of BCW-1,BCW-2,BCW-3,BCW-4 are same, while the sixth-order mode of BCW-5,BCW-6 is different from the sixth-order mode of the first four walls. The rest of the first five modes are exactly the same form. BCW-1, BCW-2 of ratio of height to wide of 1.0 dominated by shear cracking; BCW-5, BCW-6 of ratio of height to wide of 3 is obvious to bending; BCW-3, BCW-4 of ratio of height to wide of 1.8 is between with above-mentioned, they showed shear-bending cracking form, and rational design can make flexural failure happen.When the six walls are imposed on X-load excitation, and frequency of BCW-1 is 11.06,frequency of BCW-2 is 11.08,frequency of BCW-3 is 6.04,frequency of BCW-4 is 6.14,frequency of BCW-5 is 3.66,frequency of BCW-6 is 3.8, these walls emerged large displacement response. Now the third-order mode is exactly the rotation of X- direction, so there will be resonance. Composite wall should be avoided in the X-direction of the above-mentioned frequency of harmonic load.From hysteresis curve, hysteresis curve of BCW-2 is more full than BCW-1, hysteresis curve of BCW-4 is more full than BCW-3, hysteresis curve of BCW-6 is more full than BCW-5, because the strength grade of concrete block composite wall is different. Under the same conditions, the higher the concrete strength grade, the more favorable for seismic.Ascending branch of skeleton curves are very close and basically developing as the same tendency. But ultimate load and descending character are different, when reaching the max load all walls appear slipping phenomenon. In other words, load is decreasing after displacement significantly increasing. So it indicates that block horizontal mortar joint produces slipping. When ratio of height to wide is same, the load of high strength grade grouted concrete to withstand is huger than the low strength grade grouted concrete.Grouted concrete wall is on the little degree of stiffness degradation, and the specimen stiffness degradation of ratio of height to wide of 3.0 is slowest throughout the loading process, the specimen stiffness degradation of ratio of height to wide of 1.0 is fastest, the specimen stiffness degradation of ratio of height to wide of 1.8 is between the two.With the same grouted concrete strength grade, the ductility of BCW-5 that height to wide is 3.0 is better than the ductility of BCW-4 that height to wide is 1.8, similarly, the ductility of BCW-3 that height to wide is 1.8 is better than the ductility of BCW-1 that height to wide is 1.0; the ductility of BCW-6 that height to wide is 3.0 is better than the ductility of BCW-2 that height to wide is 1.0.
