The internal plane bulkhead of the submarine is the important component of the submarine structure. When the cabin is damaged, the bulkhead enduring larger transverse pressure mustn't collapse and must guarantee the security of the adjoining cabin and the whole stability of the cabin, which relates to the research of the ultimate strength of the internal plane bulkhead of the submarine.For the first, on the basis of the plastic-ultimate theory of the structure, the influence of the shear on the ultimate bearing capability of girder with two ends fixed and asymmetric section under loading of elliptical distribution is analyzed. What's more, the ultimate pressure is calculated using the simplified method. Applying the nonlinear element software MSC.Marc, the elastic-plastic collapse mechanism of the single girder is analyzed, comparing with the results of this thesis and the criterion at present. In addition, the collapse mechanism of the plane bulkhead with two horizontal girders and #-shape girders are analyzed respectively, and the ultimate framework of which are brought forward.Then, in order to get the influence of the opening location, opening size and reinforcement measures on the ultimate bearing capability of the girder, the stress concentration, the plastic expanding rule, the ultimate bearing capability, the collapse mechanism and the ultimate framework, the schemes of the opening and opening reinforcement of the bulkhead girder is researched. Specially, the reinforcement schemes of the opening are evaluated according to the expanding velocity of plastic strain and the expanding length of the plastic regions, attaining the appropriate schemes of the opening and reinforcement of the bulkhead girders.Finally, the ultimate bearing capabilities of the bulkhead without opening, with opening, and with reinforced opening are calculated. Though comparing the influence of the opening on the bearing capability and evaluating the effect of the reinforcement projects, the validity of the primary design of the opening is validated.
