The sound insulation of wood framework wall is studies in this paper. The mainly study contents include the following:1. Measure and evaluate the sound insulation of wood framework wall;2. Research the factors that influence the sound insulation of wood framework wall;3. Research the design points that can improve the sound insulation of wood framework wall;4. Research the application of scale model and computer simulation in sound insulation measurement for wood framework wall. The results of the study showed:The airborne sound insulation of wood framework wall which its stud is 40mm by 90mm and spacing is 400mm meets the level 2 standard request of GB/T50121-2005'standard for assessment of building sound insulation'. And The airborne sound insulation between two rooms meets the level 3 standard request for the residential building, hospital buildings and school buildings of GB 50118-2010 'code for sound insulation design of civil buildings', meets the level 2 standard request for hotel buildings.Besides controlled by "quality law", the sound insulation is affected by the resonance effect in 125~200Hz band, and also affected by the coincidence effect in frequency of 2000Hz. All these effects cause valleys on the sound insulation curve in these frequency bands. The solid door on the wall can reduce the amount of 5dB acoustic insulation mass, and a 1% size hole on the wall can reduce 30dB acoustic insulation mass, a l%o size hole on the wall can reduce 20dB acoustic insulation mass. So when we design the wood framework wall, we should to make the sound transmission energy of every sound insulation components can be as close as possible. The results through the sound insulation measurement of scale model have a great error to the results of actual measurement in low frequencies. But in the daily life noise frequencies band which is over 200Hz, these is a high correlation between the results of scale model measurement and actual measurement. We can get the linear regression equation between the two results by ULR.The error is 4.22%, and it's in the permissible range. The dimension and spacing of studs, insulations, layers of sheet plates all affect the sound insulation of wall. The dimension of studs and the insulations affect the sound insulation significantly. The influence of studs'spacing is bigger in low frequencies, but in high frequencies is not obvious. The layers of sheet plates affect the sound insulation, but the significance doesn't better than other three factors, only when the insulation material selects polyester fibre cotton. There is not an obvious regularity between the EASE simulation and actual measurement in the low frequencies of 100~200Hz, but in 200~3150Hz band they are significantly related. We can get the linear regression equation between the two results by ULR, and the dates calculated by the regression equation are very close to the actual measurement dates. The errors are 5.39% and 2.46%, and they are both within the permissible range.
