Study On Space Culture Of Chinese Classical Garden Based On The Tradition

There always be a reputation of China as "Mother of World's Gardens". China has developed a peculiar culture called Chinese Garden Culture to interpret the unique landscape garden system:Chinese classical garden. As the increasing international influence of China, inheriting the excellent tradition of Chinese classical garden, carrying forward the characteristics of national culture is becoming the hot issue of modern Chinese landscape architecture. The traditional culture made a decisive effect on the nationality of Chinese classical garden. To understand the complex relationship between them has an important meaning to inherit Chinese classical garden.From the Chinese traditional culture point of view, the article made a new interpretation of Chinese classical garden space, and find the space prototype which is hided in Chinese mind. Based on the method called "mean, image, language" of culture study, the writer conclude a system of space culture of Chinese classical garden. Meanwhile, standard on the modern landscape architecture space culture, refined the elements of Chinese classical garden space culture, made adaptation improvement, added new modern design elements to make it more relevant to the modern landscape architecture. At last, through using instances to prove the way of making Chinese classical garden space culture combine with modern landscape architecture.
