As one of the terminal protection appliances which are widely used in the low-voltage distribution system, the low-voltage circuit-breaker plays an important role because of its large amount of use in power distribution system. Under normal circumstances, low-voltage circuit breaker connects and breaks the circuit or starts and stops the motor not frequently;when overload or short circuit,or undervoltage and so on is occurred in the line or the motor,it can cut off the circuit automatically and give protection; It consists of release, tripping mechanism, contact system, interrupter and several other components. As one of the low-voltage circuit-breakers, moulded case circuit-breaker has been used in many important sectors of the low voltage distribution system.Release is one of the key components of moulded case circuit-breaker. In some power systems,some circuit breakers often work under non-normal conditions.,like loss of pressure,overload or short circuit. At this point the quality of performance of the release directly determines the protection features of the circuit breaker.This topic takes the CM1-225L MCCB's overcurrent-release as the research object, establish the three-dimensional model of the full-size release,creats the simplified model in ANSYS,performs the electromagnetic simulation on the model which is built, analysis the datas and knows the situation of the key components of the model which are suffering the electromagnetic force, and imports the model which is built in Pro/E to ADAMS, then uses the data obtained in electromagnetic analysis synthetically,performs kinematic analysis on the built model, obtains accurate datas of the simulation, and refines model. Useing the refined model to parametric design and optimizing the structure of the electromagnetic part of original release in order to shorten the reaction time.Through the integrated use of analysis software like ANSYS,ADAMS,Pro/E,ANSOFT, and the CMM, this topic does many researches on the relationships between the movement time of release and current or the size of important parts. It preliminary studies integrated modeling based on the analysis process, points out the influences of early measurements and modeling on later analysis and optimization. It studies the operating characteristics of the electromagnet, and the relations between that and part size,especially the coil size, when short circuit is occurred in the system.It gives several aspects of the possible optimization, and preliminary studies the optimization of the coil.This topic is carried out according to Natural Science Foundation of Hebei province "The study and Application of Reliability theory and Network Technology of protective electrical in power system".
