In coastal areas of our country, there distribute soft soil in large areas, on which the highways built, we can come cross the main problems: to select and improve the subgrade filler, the settlement of high-filled subgrade, the water temperature (low temperature) stability of low embankment, vehicle dumpping and so on. Through refering the experience of home and abroad about constuction of highway in soft areas, applying the combining practical and theoretical method, using the most advanced testing techniques and methods on geotechnical engineering and using the latest analysis software on civil engineering, on this basis, this paper proposes reasonable structure applied to the hightway subgrade in marine soft soil area.Combining with the project background of Jin-ning Highway.Firstly, throght laboratory experiments this paper analyzes the physical and mechanical properties of marine deposited soil, and analyzes the improving methods of subgrade filler. Applying the analysis software of ANSYS finite element,we analyze the bearing capacity,subgrade settlement,the depth about transition slab at bridge head and so on at different filling heights. And according to the theoretical and empirical formula,it calculates the min and max filling height of subgrade, it proposes the methods on the integrated structural design of bridge embankment road & approach slab and the reasonable structure applying the different embankment's height, to provide reference methods for the similar conditions about the structural design of highway sugrade in marine soft soil areas.
