With the development of expressway construction in our country , the problems in theprocess are becoming more and more remarkable , such as oversize settlement, landslide, destroyed by rainwater and so on. Soft soil with characteristics of high compressibility, highwater content, weak water permeability are distributed widespreadly in Jiang Xi Peng-Hunew building expressway scene . Besides the geological conditions, ample rainfall is the otherfactor during the construction progress which affects roadbed stability and distortion. Properconstruction step and strengthening technology is the effective way to control roadbedstability and distortion. The article takes the stability and distortion of roadbed in Peng-Hu expressway as studyobject . Firstly , deducing the elements from local settlement observation data , including fillthickness, fill load-on speed, soft soil thickness, strengthening treating, rainfall characterand so on , and illustrating their mechanics . Lately , elaborating the method to analyzeroadbed stability with taking matric suction into account according to unsaturated soil theory ,achieve Soil-Water Characteristic Curve to calculate the shear strength and seep parametersof unsaturated soil through indoor soil gained in field engineering suction experiment .Thirdly , taking K26+150 roadbed as analyze object , establishing two-dimension seepagemodel to calculate distribution of water content and matric suction with data achieved by theexperiment above . In the termination chapter , numerical analyze factors that affect roadbeddistortion mentioned above , considering these elements into account lonely . Duringanalyzing the influence of rainfall , it's necessary to connect seep calculating to establishseepage-consolidation coupling model so as to explore the influencing rule of rainfall . Atlast , simulating the rain and work condition similar as job location with the coupling modelaccording to saturated and unsaturated soil theory respectively . Then , comparing the data ofsettlement calculated by the two theory with record actual measured in scene , in order toverify applicability of unsaturated soil theory in analysis of settlement and stability .
