Different kinds of turbine units are widely used in every field of the industry. The rotor, as an important component of turbine unit, endures harsher and harsher working environment as well as higher and higher design requirements. This makes the design work harder and harder. So it becomes more and more important to research the rotor system's dynamic characteristics. With all kinds of accidents of the rotating machineries, the theory research, analysis method and experimental technology of the rotor dynamics are improving.This thesis analyses the dynamic characteristics of turbine unit in theory, considers the influents of various of design and working parameters on the system characteristics, and provides theoretical basis for both the upgrade and optimize work of the dynamic performance of the existing turbine units and the design work of the turbine units. The principle and characteristic of the finite element numerical simulation technology are simply described. According to the example of the actual steam turbine generator unit, three-dimensional finite element model is built finally by simplified treatment of the bearings, blades, chamfers etc following the simplified principle, structural modeling of the steam turbine generator shaft and selecting of appropriate material parameters. By loading corresponding boundary conditions and setting correct solving options, the numerical calculation, such as modal analysis, harmonic response analysis, dynamic response calculation under different conditions and static deflection calculation, is finished by using the finite element analysis (FEA) software. It makes some reasonable suggestions for the design, assembling, maintenance and monitoring of the actual turbine units.Then, it expounds the design principles and schemes of the low-speed test system to simulate the turbine units, and describes some difficulties of the actual assembling and commissioning process. Similarly, examples of simulation of the steam turbine test system is built to conduct relevant specifications. This test system includes the rotor system, support system, lubrication system, power control system, fault simulation device, signal testing system, etc. Aiming at the technical indexes of the rotor test system, it designs the related drawings scheme of some components and chooses some suitable components to purchase. With designed components and purchased components prepared, we finish the assembling and commissioning work of the test system, get lots of experiences of the design and implement. At last, some related experimental operation scheme and requirements are formulated for the test system's fault simulation experiments.Finally, some related analyses of the high-speed rotor test bench are presented. It includes the feasibility analysis of the design, the important and difficult problems of the implement and the scheme of the design.
