Remote Corrosion Monitoring System Of Concrete Structures

The corrosion of steel in the reinforced concrete structure would directly affect the reliability of the reinforced concrete structure, and in severe bring unexpected disasters. Therefore, the corrosion of the steel and the pipes measurement and monitoring is of great significance.By studying the methods and characteristics of detection of reinforced concrete corrosion, select the guard ring method and resistance method cooperate to monitor the corrosion of a large concrete structure. The risistan probe will be buried in concrete architecture for long-term online monitoring, and using wireless corrosion monitoring system to operate the equipment and analysis the data; the same time using the reinforced concrete corrosion detector which based on guard ring method detect the structure regularly. Both of the two ways in combination and refer to each other to get much more accurate data for concrete corrosion.This paper describes the resistance method and the guard ring method in detail, and introduced the hardware system of both instrument and the control program of the microcontroller which using C language. By analyzing data obtained from spot, we can verify the accuracy and reliability of the instrument, which achieve the desired requirements.Innovation of this paper: In reinforced concrete structure corrosion detection, by compensating the output of guard ring, make the polarization more close to the ideal situation, largely improved the accuracy of corrosion measurement; in oil and gas pipe corrosion monitoring, by decreasing the negative influence of the probe and the measurement itself, and corrected for temperature, make a substantial increase in the corrosion measurement accuracy.
