Research On Renovation Of The Landscape Style And Features Of Guancheng River In Anshun City

Rivers have played an important role along the history of urban development. In early times, rivers provided an adequate water supply for the city and a fertile furnishing for the soil. Later with the development of the water transportations, rivers were becoming an important channel for cities'cargo carriage. After entering the period of modern industrialization, the relationship between rivers and city lives were becoming even closer. And rivers have also become an important part of the urban landscape features and leisure spaces. However at the same time, the water system has been seriously polluted due to industrial development. Bank lines were eroded by combination of divergent functions, and the features of natural landscape have also been destroyed. Based on this, in the 20th century, many cities in either abroad or China have already begun to renew and reconstruct the rivers and riparian areas. By improving the urban ecological environment, protecting the historical context of the cities, they construct a clean, comfortable and beautiful waterfront environment for the citizens.Based on the empirical and methodology study and summary of river repair, theory of riversides renovation and transformation, in this paper the author chose the Guancheng River in Anshun city of Guizhou province as the target area to investigate its landscape features renovation approach. As an empirical study combining with theories, this paper tries to build a factor-management system for transforming and renewing the landscape features of riverfront. The author believes that this research is worthy for providing some theoretical methods and design considerations for the renovation of riverfront in relevant cities.The study in this paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the theoretically research. In this part based on the identification of several concepts such as landscape, its relevant features, renovation and etc. , the author summaries the relevant experience and lessons from relevant theories learning and practical experience in abroad and China; In the second part, the author concluded key factors, investigated schemes for design of riverfront landscape updating, established landscape-view control system and discovered approaches for target area view renovation; The third part is set up to introduce relevant information of Anshun City, Guancheng River and development and transformation of river and city first. Then the current landscape condition of the target area, Guancheng River in Anshun is evaluated from the view of river-way, landscape view, buildings layout nearby. Its characteristic and existed inefficiency are concluded; the fourth part is empirical study, where the principle, aim, design concept of reformation and renovation is brought out for Guancheng River in Anshun. Its related detailed design strategies are proposed from macro, middle and micro levels as the final result.
